Steward's Report
A pre race sample was taken from Rock Lily.
King Royale checked off Minnesota Lee soon after the start. King Royale checked off She's Wicked on the first turn. Desiree Dancer and Bronelly Buster collided on the first turn, checking Bronelly Buster, Rock Lily, She's Wicked, Minnesota Lee and King Royale. King Royale and She's Wicked collided in the home straight, checking both greyhounds. Rock Lily veered out in the home straight and failed to pursue the lure with due commitment and collided with Bronelly Buster, checking Bronelly Buster and Bolt Power. Bronelly Buster and Rock Lily collided approaching the winning post.
Stewards spoke to Mr B Keel, the handler of the greyhound Rock Lily regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Rock Lily was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right pencil muscle, a 14 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Rock Lily with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Keel pleaded guilty to the charge, Rock Lily was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
