Ms Vanesa Watson was fined the sum of $50 for failing to ensure the registration papers or card was produced for the greyhound Simone's Magic pursuant to GAR 33.
Mr David Grindley, trainer of Pavarotti, declared a new weight of 29.6kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Pavarotti last raced at 30.7kg.
Shakey Cougar was very slow to begin (4L).
Simone's Magic and Buzz Off Sally collided soon after the start. Scooter lost ground from the 200m mark to the winning post. Killara John and Pavarotti collided approaching the 150m mark. Shakey Cougar checked off Buzz Off Sally at the 150m mark. Shakey Cougar and Simone's Magic collided at the 100m mark and again at the 50m mark. Buzz Off Sally and Pavarotti collided approaching the 50m mark.
Scooter was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right tensor fascia (triangle) muscle. A 28-day stand down period was imposed.
