Zephyric was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained lumbo-sacral injury, a five day stand down period was imposed.

Tippa Power checked off the heels of Charlotte Street in the back straight.  Spring Stitch, Spring Slater and Charlotte Street collided approaching the first turn, checking Tippa Power, and severely checking Charlotte Street.  Revel and Jim's Hotel collided several times approaching the home turn.

Tippa Power was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained sacro-illiac injury, a seven day stand down period was imposed.

A sample was taken from Peter Yap - the second placegetter in the event.

Stewards spoke to Ms Riana Groom, the trainer of Go Good Riddance, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Go Good Riddance last raced on 2 June 2017.  Ms Groom stated that the greyhound was resuming racing after a spell.  Ms Groom declared a new weight of 26.0 kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Go Good Riddance last raced at 24.8 kgs.

Last Outlaw was slow to begin.  Ikon Parker, Leave Me Out, Last Outlaw and Avatar Wolf collided on the first turn, checking Avatar Wolf and Stylish Billy, and severely checking Ikon Parker, Last Outlaw and Leave Me Out.

Leave Me Out was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained left hindleg toe abrasion and back muscle injuries, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Ikon Parker was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right hindleg hock injury, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Avatar Wolf was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right foreleg lateral triceps injury, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

A sample was taken from Leave Me Out – unplaced in the event.

Stewards spoke to Mr John Mangion, the trainer of Cindy's Zafonic, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Cindy's Zafonic last raced on 26 May 2017.  Mr Mangion stated that the greyhound was resuming racing after a spell.

Busted Flat, Cindy's Zafonic and Big Black Rocket collided soon after the start, checking Cindy's Zafonic.  Oscar and Down Mexico Way collided on the first turn, checking Down Mexico Way.  Down Mexico Way galloped on the heels of Oscar approaching the home turn, checking Down Mexico Way, and severely checking Oscar.  

Cindy's Zafonic was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a lumbo-sacral and left foreleg flexor tendon injury, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Zoom Out and Wishes Fulfilled collided soon after the start, checking Wishes Fulfilled.  Cosmic Polly and Zoom Out collided several times on the first turn, checking Cosmic Polly.  Wishes Fulfilled and Cosmic Polly collided on the home turn, checking Wishes Fulfilled.  Cibulkova checked off Broulee Miss in the home straight.

Trademark Style was slow to begin.  Trademark Style checked off Nolen's Fortune approaching the first turn.  Hector Cabang, Rosehill Beth and Gothamburg collided on the first turn, checking Rozehill Beth.  Nolen's Fortune, Trademark Style and Lady Isabella collided on the home turn, checking all three greyhounds.

Proven Legacy, Proven Snow and Cette To Dance were slow to begin.  Starface, Proven Snow and Cette To Dance collided approaching the first turn, checking Cette To Dance; Cette To Dance stumbled as a a result.  Starface and Proven Snow collided on the first turn, severely checking both greyhounds.

Bundarra Magic was a late scratching at 4:14 pm on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon, due to left hindleg sesamoid injury.  A seven day stand down period was imposed.

Arrow Allen and Peninsula Panda were slow to begin.  Zabdon Bluey and Joni Sunset collided approaching the first turn, checking Joni Sunset.  Peninsula Panda, Mini Sticka and Shiro collided on the first turn, checking Peninsula Panda and Mini Sticka.  Joni Sunset checked off Steinbeck Knew approaching the home turn.

The Club Veterinary Surgeon examined Jockey Bale and was showing signs of dehydration.  The greyhound was a late scratching at 4:36 pm, due to weight variation (GAR 39).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Trainer, Mr Jack Campbell, was fined the sum of $100.
