Zephyric was slow to begin. Welshman, Lethal Lomar and Church Parade collided soon after the start, checking Lethal Lomar. Toby's Taxi, Geopark Ruby, Gotta Be Better and Church Parade collided approaching the first turn, checking Geopark Roby, Gotta Be Better, Church Parade and Lethal Lomar. Toby's Taxi and Church Parade collided on the first turn, checking Church Parade. Zephyric, Welshman and Zip Zip Anna collided on the first turn, checking Zip Zip Anna and Zephyric. Zip Zip Anna checked off the heels of Zephyric on the first turn, checking Zip Zip Anna, and severely checking Zephyric, Toby's Taxi and Church Parade. Church Parade checked off the heels of Geopark Ruby in the home straight.
