A pre race sample was taken from Evil Currency.
Cash Money and Northern Bowler collided soon after the start. Northern Bowler and Northern Moon collided soon after the start. Meehan Phil eased at the 200m mark, checking Simone's Magic, Evil Currency and Racecourse Road.
A sample was taken from It Is Done - the winner of the event.
Stewards spoke to P Pollutro, the trainer of the greyhound Meehan Phil regarding the greyhounds racing manners at the 200m mark. Meehan Phil was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left pencil muscle, a 10 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Meehan Phil with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). P Pollutro pleaded guilty to the charge, Meehan Phil was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
