Steward's Report
Hot Charmola and Soda Kid were slow to begin.
True Colours, Pants On Fire, Soda Kid, Invictus Lawless and Alcyone collided approaching the first turn checking Soda Kid and Alcyone. True Colours and Hot Charmola collided in the back straight severely checking Hot Charmola and checking Invictus Lawless. True Colours and Baker Street collided on the first turn, Baker Street lost ground as a result. Baker Street, Invictus Lawless, Soda Kid and Hot Charmola collided approaching the home turn.
Stewards spoke to Mrs. S. Donlon, the trainer of the greyhound Baker Street regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the first turn. Baker Street was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right wrist, a 5 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Baker Street with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mrs. Donlon pleaded guilty, Baker Street was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
