Steward's Report
Mr E. Lieshout advised Stewards on arrival to the track that Aston Grace had sustained an injury, Aston Grace was a late scratching at4.30pm due to a front right pad injury (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.
Stewards spoke to Mr A. Ferguson, the trainer of Beyond Galaxia regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Beyond Galaxia last raced on 18th June 2017. Mr Ferguson stated that the greyhound was returning from seasonal and trainers illness, Mr Ferguson also declared a new weight of 31.3kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Beyond Galaxia last raced at 30.2kgs.
Shiro was slow to begin.
Philo Bale, Miss Holland and Coalville Tiger collided on the first turn causing Philo Bale and Beyond Galaxia to fall. Blocka Boy, Miss Holland and Mac collided on the second turn checking Miss Holland.
Philo Bale was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right triangle injury, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Beyond Galaxia was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound to the left wrist and an eye injury, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.
