Stewards spoke to Mrs. B. Ennis, the trainer of Bear's Gold regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Bear's Gold last raced on 22nd June. Mrs. Ennis stated that the greyhound has had a change of kennels.

Bear's Gold was quick to begin.

Kryptonian and My Name's Ned were slow to begin.

Autocrat, Kiwi Collision and Yenderra Blue collided on the first turn checking Yenderra Blue. Kiwi Collision checked off Autocrat on the home turn. Lektra Boss checked off Autocrat approaching the winning post.
