Mr. S. Bauer, trainer of Colluding declared a new weight of 31.9kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Colluding last raced at 33.2kgs.
A pre-race sample was taken from Lucky Brew.
Bera Na Liva was slow to begin. Lucky Brew, Gunmetal Diva, Quink and Unlocked collided soon after the start checking Lucky Brew, Gunmetal Diva, Quink and Bera Na Liva. Colluding tired in the home straight.
Colluding was vetted followng the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr S. Bauer regarding the performance of Colluding, which was below market expectations. Mr. Bauer advised stewards that Colluding was having its first start from his kennels, and in his opinion the greyhound would derive a fitness benefit from today's event. He also stated that he intended to trial the greyhound prior to racing again. Stewards noted the explanation.
