Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Sacred Diamond.
Vintage Storm and Wadelock Venus were slow to begin. Vintage Storm, Wadelock Venus and Gestalt Allen collided soon after the start checking Vintage Storm and Gestalt Allen. Sacred Diamond was checked off Lochinvar Rox approaching the second turn. Mr. Pendles and Apollo's Twin collided on the second turn severely checking Apollo's Twin. Wadelock Venus and Apollo's Twin collided entering the back straight checking both greyhounds, Apollo's Twin tailed off. Vintage Storm and Lochinvar Rox collided in the home straight.
Apollo's Twin was vetted following the event and after being re-vetted following event 10, it was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right triangle muscle, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.
Milly's Choice was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no injury apparent.
Stewards established that Milly's Choice turned in the boxes. Acting under GAR 52(1) Milly's Choice was placed on a satisfactory trial all tracks.
Stewards spoke to Mr. James Stavropoulos the handler of the greyhound Vintage Storm and reminded him of his responsibilities regarding his use of bad language pursuant to GAR 86(q).
