Sienna's Gem and Paddy's Midnight collided soon after the start, checking Paddy's Midnight.  In The Net, Allen Jeer, Tiggerlong Boo and Rosacky Blitz collided approaching the first turn, checking In The Net and Rosacky Blitz.  Frisco Liz checked off Ima Necromancer on the first turn.  Frisco Liz, Allen Jeer and Rosacky Blitz collided approaching the home turn, checking Frisco Liz, Allen Jeer and In The Net.  Frisco Liz galloped on the heels of Allen Jeer approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds..  Allen Jeer faltered on the home turn and tailed off.

Allen Jeer was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a tarsal fracture to the left hock, and was humanely euthanised.

A pre-race sample was taken from Solitary Girl.

Last Princess was slow to begin.  Seabrook Eb, Solitary Girl and My Girl Belena collided soon after the start, checking My Girl Belena.  Quen Bale checked off Early Special approaching the first turn, checking Seabrook Eb.  My Girl Belena checked off Last Princess on the first turn.  Last Princess and Quen Bale collided on the first turn, checking Quen Bale.  Quicksilver Hope and Manzeene Magic collided approaching the home turn.  Manzeene Magic checked off Solitary Girl approaching the home turn, checking Seabrook Eb.

Back On Lava was slow to begin.  Henry crossed to the rail approaching the first turn, checking Chezzy Allen, Igor Karkaroff, Nangar Range and Tronic Flash.  Tronic Flash and Nangar Range collided entering the back straight.  Nangar Range raced wide in the back straight and again in the home straight.

Stewards spoke to Mr Kevin Chivell, the trainer of Smudger Sniff, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Smudger Sniff last raced on 27 June 2017.  Mr Chivell stated that the greyhound was resuming racing following a change of kennel.

Kiera Bale was examined by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the event and cleared to race.

Baker Street was quick to begin.  Kiera Bale and Gothamburg collided approaching the first turn.  Ace Gone Wild checked off Bageera on the first turn, checking Umar Allen.  Kiera Bale, Gothamburg and Bageera collided approaching the home turn.  Bageera and Nolen's Fortune collided on the home turn.  Kentucky Sun raced wide entering the home straight and collided with Umar Allen; causing Umar Allen to falter and tail off.  Nolen's Fortune checked off Gothamburg approaching the winning post.

Umar Allen was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right hindleg back muscle injury, a 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Ms Tina Womann, trainer of Uni Allen, declared a new weight of 30.8 kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Uni Allen last raced at 29.7 kgs.
