Stewards spoke with Mr Gary Thorneycroft, who failed to catch the greyhound Cartwheel Chloe, and reminded him of his responsibilities as a catcher following an event, pursuant to GAR86(o).

Osti's Raider and Shakey Cougar collided soon after the start. Cosmic Tool and Miss Premier collided at the 250m mark. Shakey Cougar eased at the 50m mark and approaching the winning post and collided with Bevvies Bullet, checking Bevvies Bullet.

Shakey Cougar was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained no apparent injury; trainer Mr Calven Russell declined a revet. Stewards spoke to Mr Calven Russell, the trainer of the greyhound Shakey Cougar, regarding the greyhound’s racing manners at the 50m mark. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Shakey Cougar with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Russell pleaded guilty to the charge, Shakey Cougar was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Healesville and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Severus Grange was slow to begin.

Angel Cloud, Misty Warrior, Kathy's Lady, Galo's Best, You Betcha Jorge and Mini Dozer collided soon after the start. Galo's Best and You Betcha Jorge collided at the 250m mark. You Betcha Jorge and Mini Dozer collided at the 200m mark. Misty Warrior, Kathy's Lady and You Betcha Jorge collided at the 150m mark, checking You Betcha Jorge and severely checking Kathy's Lady.

He's Ma Bro was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right hock. A 14-day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr Kevin Chivell, the trainer of Dance Craze, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Dance Craze last raced on 9 July 2017. Mr Chivell stated that Dance Craze was resuming from a right triangle muscle injury.

Mr Jason Hardy was fined the sum of $50 for failing to ensure the registration papers or card were produced for the greyhound Mystic Powers, pursuant to GAR 33.

Boston You Essay and Tzar Knight collided at the 250m mark and again at the 150m mark. Still Just Under and Dance Craze collided at the 50m mark. Blazing Nitro and Tzar Knight collided at the 50m mark.

Tzar Knight fell after the winning post and was vetted following the event. It was reported that he greyhound sustained no apparent injury. No stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr M Galea, the kennel representative for Hide The Wallet, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Hide The Wallet last raced on 20 June 2017. Mr Galea stated that Hide The Wallet was resuming from a left stopper bone injury.

Low Flying Plane, Horey's Girl and Another Value collided soon after the start. Kim Kadash faltered soon after the start and tailed off. Slipaway Whitey and Hugh Made Who collided from the 200m mark to the 100m mark.

Kim Kadash was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left gracilis (back) and biceps femoris (thigh) muscles. A 28-day stand down period was imposed.
