Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Rocketing Ruby upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.
Balance was very slow to begin (3 lengths). Zipping Blanche went up with the lids at box rise and was slow to begin. Rocketing Ruby was slow to begin. Swift Yakama and Fred Regis collided soon after the start, checking Swift Yakama. Little Women and Lost Love collided approaching the first turn. Fred Regis and Rocketing Ruby collided approaching the first turn. Zipping Blanche and Swift Yakama collided approaching the home turn. Fred Regis checked off Balance on the home turn, checking Rocketing Ruby. Swift Yakama and Balance collided several times in the home straight due to both greyhounds shifting ground.
Balance was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. After viewing the lateral and head on vision and acting on their own observatios Stewards issued a warning against the greyhounds for its racing manners in the home straight.
