Armand Bale, Ima Ruby and Serendipity Chic were slow to begin.  Poise and Gold Gem collided approaching the first turn, checking Gold Gem.  Miss Peanut checked off On The Runway on the first turn.  Gold Gem, Armand Bale and Ima Ruby collided on the first turn, checking Armand Bale.  Miss Peanut and On The Runway collided on the home turn.  Armand Bale brushed the running rail in the home straight.

Balance was very slow to begin (3 lengths).  Zipping Blanche went up with the lids at box rise and was slow to begin.  Rocketing Ruby was slow to begin.  Swift Yakama and Fred Regis collided soon after the start, checking Swift Yakama.  Little Women and Lost Love collided approaching the first turn.  Fred Regis and Rocketing Ruby collided approaching the first turn. Zipping Blanche and Swift Yakama collided approaching the home turn.  Fred Regis checked off Balance on the home turn, checking Rocketing Ruby.  Swift Yakama and Balance collided several times in the home straight due to both greyhounds shifting ground. 

Balance was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.  After viewing the lateral and head on vision and acting on their own observatios Stewards issued a warning against the greyhounds for its racing manners in the home straight.

Bombora Thunder, Pyrenees Petraca and Southwood Joy collided approaching the first turn, checking Southwood Joy.  Pyrenees Petraca crossed to the rail on the first turn, checking Bombora Thunder.  Rosie Glenda checked off Took My Moneyy approaching the home turn.  Rosie Glenda clipped the heels of Took My Money approaching the home turn, checking both greyhounds.  Rosie Glenda and Took My Money collided on the home turn.  Bombora Thunder and Southwood Joy raced wide in the home straight.

Spudtacular and Dyna Jacinta collided approaching the first turn, checking Dyna Jacinta.  Destini Cheetah and Dyna Jacinta collided approaching the first turn.  Jakesta and Shy Freddie collided on the first turn.  Spudtacular and Jakesta collided approaching the winning post.

Mr. Stealer was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right back muscle, a 60 day stand down period was imposed.

Slingshot Jake was quick to begin.  Rippa Regis and Zipping Hazel collided soon after the start.  Slingshot Jake, No More and Awesome Shep collided approaching the first turn, checking No More and Slingshot Jake.  Zoehanna Diva checked off No More on the first turn, checking Zipping Hazel.  Goldenpaw Lad and Rippa Regis collided in the home straight.

Ima Sapphire was slow to begin.  Slingshot Sassy and Destini Duchess collided soon after the start, checking Slingshot Sassy.  Slingshot Sassy, St. Regis and Jay Bee Ell collided approaching the first turn, checking Slingshot Sassy and St. Regis.  St. Regis and Slingshot Sassy collided on the first turn and again several times approaching the home turn, checking both greyhounds.  Zipping Brandy and Jay Bee Ell collided on the home turn.  Jay Bee Ell, Zipping Brandy and Ima Sapphire collided in the home straight.

Southwood Bill was slow to begin.  Puppet You Rippa checked off Take My Money on the first turn, checking Verev.  Take My Money and Magic Milly collided approaching the home turn, severely checking Magic Milly which tailed off.  Verev and Southwood Bill collided on the home turn and again entering the home straight.

Puppet You Rippa was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Magic Milly was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right pencil muscle and left hamstring, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Ms. K. Jordan, the kennel representative of Spring Bobbi regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Spring Bobbi last raced on 18th July, 2017.  Ms. Jordan stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following split webbing to the right hind.  Ms. Jordan also declared a new weight of 29.7kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Spring Bobbi last raced at 28.5kg.

Rirtakki, Swift Trent and Loosey Jabna were quick to begin.  Prince Scarlet and Burnout collided soon after the start.  Swift Trent and Loosey Jabna collided approaching the first turn.  Making Cents and Rirtakki collided on the first turn, checking Rirtakki.  Prince Scarlet checked off Burnout in the home straight.  Squizzy Buzzard raced wide in the home straight.
