Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr D. Chapman, the representative of Charlott's Angel regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Charlott's Angel last raced on 4 July 2017 and is returning after a change of kennels.
Newtown Flyer was a late scratching at 6:08pm due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer D. Willcocks was fined the sum of $100.
Charlott's Angel and Dreamliner were slow to begin.
Mega Hazel and Seventh Cavalry collided soon after the start. Charlott's Angel checked off Seventh Cavalry approaching the first turn. Mega Hazel and Charlott's Angel collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Seventh Cavalry checked off Toss The Dice on the first turn and raced wide. Charlott's Angel raced wide approaching the home turn. Here's Tiger and Toss The Dice collided on the home turn checking both greyhounds.
Mega Hazel was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound to the left metatarsal, a 3 day stand down period was imposed.
