Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Ms A. Taylor, the trainer of Kingston Earl regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Kingston Earl last raced on 30 June 2017 and is returning after a spell.
Pursuant to GAR 104(6) Catching Pen attendant Mr S. Courts did not act in any official capacity for this event.
Kingston Earl and Cataleya were slow to begin.
Cash Ownley and Kingston Earl collided approaching the first turn. Cash Ownley checked off Shifty Joshua on the first turn. Cataleya and Oscar collided on the first turn. Cash Ownley checked off Eagle Princess on the home turn. Cataleya checked off Oscar on the home turn. Shifty Joshua, Cash Ownley and Kingston Earl collided entering the home straight. Cash Ownley and Cataleya collided in the home straight.

MEETING COMMENTS:

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr G. Howell, the trainer of Spring Rain regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Spring Rain last raced on 4th January 2017. Mr Howell stated that the greyhound was returning from a right back muscle injury. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Spring Rain trialled over the 311mtrs from box 8, weight 26.7kgs, the greyhound was placed 3rd in a field of 5. The time of the trial was 17.82, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 5 1/2 lengths. Spring Rain was Cleared.
