Steward's Report
Dyna Beryl was slow to begin.
Smokey Jake, Spritely Bella and Bluebow collided soon after the start, checking Spritely Bella which tailed off as a result.
Spritely Bella was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained no apparent injury. Handler Ms N Stanton declined to have the greyhound revetted.
Stewards spoke to Ms N Stanton, the handler of the greyhound Spritely Bella regarding the greyhound’s racing manners soon after the start. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Spritely Bella with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Ms Stanton pleaded guilty to the charge, Spritely Bella was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Ballarat and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
