Gypsy Marlow was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a laceration to the left hind leg. A 14 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mrs. M Campbell was advised that she must seek follow up veterinary attention for the greyhound within three days.

A sample was taken form Dukestar - winner of the event. 

Stewards spoke to trainer, Mrs M Campbell regarding her difficulty in boxing the greyhound Gypsy Marlow. Stewards directed that Gypsy Marlow be boxed first in future events. 

Mrs M Brown, representative of On The Rebound declared a new weight of 30.7kg's for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). On The Rebound last raced at 31.8kgs.

Downtown Babe, On The Rebound, Delta's Magic and Dane Daisy were quick to begin. Royal Bruno and Razorback Black were slow to begin.

Due to a malfunction with the judges equipment, a photo finish image was unable to be captured for this event. Official placings and margins were determined with the use of the back up equipment and the judge's own observations.

Magic Maldini was a late scratching at 10:58am due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Ms T. Kennedy-harris was fined the sum of $100.

Any Other Union was a late scratching at 11:22am on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to bruising to the right calf and Achilles. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

No Money Down was quick to begin.

Inter Sam was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right back muscle injury. A 60 day stand down period was imposed.

The Club Veterinary Surgeon examined Move That Energy and no illness was detected. The greyhound was a late scratching at 11:19am due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr C Fulford was fined the sum of $100.

Elswyk Max was quick to begin.

Mega Secret and Spazzy Blue collided soon after the start. Stately Kay and Rapana collided approaching the first turn. Indira's Girl was quick to begin. Son Of Steve was slow to begin. 

Pristina Lad, Gunmetal Angel, Pawfection and Miss Houdini collided on the first turn, checking Pristina Lad, Gunmetal Angel and Pawfection. Will Dazzle clipped the heels of Miss Houdini approaching the home turn, causing Will Dazzle to stumble and lose considerable ground; Gunmetal Angel was checked as a result.

Following the event, Indira's Girl displayed signs of Post Exercise Distress Syndrome (PEDS). As a result the greyhound was vetted. It was that the greyhound displayed clinical signs of Ataxia. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. 

Stewards spoke to Mr A Gringhuis, the trainer of Indira's Girl and advised him that they greyhound would be closely monitored in fututre events.

Zipping Faith was inspected by the veterinarian upon retrieval from the kennels and approved for an early race request.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Violet Sky trialled over the 400m from box 1, weight 27.2kgs, the greyhound was placed 4th in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 23.77, the greyhound beaten by a margin of 2.5L. Violet Sky was Cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Majik Mikado trialled over the 400m from box 7, weight 32.3kgs, the greyhound was placed 3rd in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 23.77, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 1.75lengths. Majik Mikado was Cleared.
