Steward's Report
Gypsy Marlow was quick to begin. Buckle Up Spitz was slow to begin.
Siver Lightning and Wild Oscar collided soon after the start. Porscha's Girl crossed in soon after the start, checking Porscha's Girl, Why Not Lyn, Wild Oscar and Siver Lightning. Wild Oscar, Why Not Lyn and Porscha's Girl collided approaching the first turn, checking Why Not Lyn. Hurricane Craig galloped on Gypsy Marlow on the first turn, severely checking Gypsy Marlow. Porscha's Girl crossed out on the home turn. Hurricane Craig and Buckle Up Spitz collided in the home straight, checking Buckle Up Spitz.
Gypsy Marlow was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a laceration to the left hind leg. A 14 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mrs. M Campbell was advised that she must seek follow up veterinary attention for the greyhound within three days.
A sample was taken form Dukestar - winner of the event.
Stewards spoke to trainer, Mrs M Campbell regarding her difficulty in boxing the greyhound Gypsy Marlow. Stewards directed that Gypsy Marlow be boxed first in future events.
