Diva De Kahn and Woodleigh Guy were slow to begin. Stevie Gee was very slow to begin (3 lengths).
Lektra Diamond, Wilburn and Kingston Cowboy collided soon after the start checking Kingston Cowboy. Wilburn and Woodleigh Guy collided approaching the first turn, Wilburn contacted the running rail as a result. Lucrative Rose and My Girl Lois collided approaching the first turn. Wilburn and Woodleigh Guy collided on the first turn. Lucrative Rose and Diva De Kahn collided on the first turn. Kingston Cowboy and Diva De Kahn collided on the second turn.
Lektra Diamond was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an abrasion to the right metatarsal region, a 3 day stand down period was imposed.
Wilburn was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right calf injury, a 5 day stand down period was imposed

Stewards spoke to trainer Mr R. Palmer regarding his difficulty in boxing the greyhound Lucrative Rose. Stewards directed that Lucrative Rose be boxed first in future events.
