Lektra Diamond was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an abrasion to the right metatarsal region, a 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Wilburn was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right calf injury, a 5 day stand down period was imposed

Woodleigh Guy was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right back muscle injury, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

A sample was taken from Lucrative Rose - winner of the event.

Stewards spoke to trainer Mr R. Palmer regarding his difficulty in boxing the greyhound Lucrative Rose. Stewards directed that Lucrative Rose be boxed first in future events.

Stewards spoke to Mr D. Knocker, the representative of Aston Groucho regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Aston Groucho last raced on 8th may, 2017. Mr Knocker stated that the greyhound was returning from a right monkey muscle injury.

Slippery Sam was quick to begin.  Daffy Duck and Aston Groucho were slow to begin.

Clear The Bar, Aston Groucho and Samsonite collided soon after the start.  Daffy Duck, Aston Groucho and Samsonite collided on the first turn causing Dr. Zeeva to race wide.  Clear The Bar and Banjo Braxton collided on the first turn checking Banjo Braxton which raced wide. Daffy Duck raced wide approaching the second turn checking Clear The Bar and Banjo Braxton. Daffy Duck lost ground in the home straight.

Daffy Duck was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right hock injury, and was humanely euthanised.

Owlette was a late scratching at 7.15pm due to the greyhound being on season (GAR 24). A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Dr. Noely was slow to begin.

Aye Drainer checked off Off Ya Rocket on the first turn checking Flash Mikado.  Nareen and Terrigal Tornado collided on the first turn.  Dr. Noely raced wide on the first turn.  Staunch As and Flash Mikado collided on the home turn. Nareen and Off Ya Rocket collided entering the home straight.  Nareen eased in the home straight and collided with Off Ya Rocket.

Stewards spoke to Ms D. Ireland, the trainer of the greyhound Nareen regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight.  Nareeen was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries an abrasion to the right hind foot, no day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Nareen with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Ms Ireland pleaded guilty to the charge, Nareen was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Mr J. Musselwhite, the representative of Aye Chit Chat declared a new weight of 28.3kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Aye Chit Chat last raced at 29.4kgs.

Zipping Jake and Kyante were slow to begin.  No Excuse was very slow to begin (2 lengths).

Scarlet Tru Blu, Zipping Jake and Sprint Tee collided soon after the start.  Scarlet Tru Blu, Sprint Tee and Ruby Red Eden collided on the first turn.  Strength To Win and No Excuse collided on the first turn.

Stewards spoke to Mr R. Cunneen, the trainer of Soda Anne regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Soda Anne last raced on 3rd May, 2017. Mr Cunneen stated that the greyhound was returning from a seasonal spell.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Mikado Boy trialled over the 311mtrs from box 8, weight 32.2kgs, the greyhound was placed 2nd in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 17.90, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 2.25 lengths. Mikado Boy was Cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Hyndai Hawk trialled over the 311mtrs from box 7, weight 33.6kgs, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 17.90, the greyhound won by a margin of 2.25 lengths. Hyndai Hawk was Cleared.
