Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Ms Samantha Taylor the trainer of Penberthy regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Penberthy last raced on 19 April 2017. Ms Taylor stated that the greyhound was resuming racing following a change of kennel.
A pre race sample was taken from How Good She.
Kraken Lil was very slow to begin (4L). Wild Whip crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Sports Gairn and Penberthy. Penberthy checked off Sports Gairn approaching the first turn. Rattle Gate and Dashing Dream collided approaching the home turn checking Rattle Gate. Rattle Gate checked off Penberthy approaching the home turn checking How Good She
Penberthy was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left long head triceps, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.
