Back On Lava was a late scratching at 2:00 pm, due to illness (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.
Sergei was slow to begin. Very Choosy and Sergei collided on the first turn, checking both greyhounds. McIvor Verna and Sergei collided approaching the second turn. Ving Bale and Spring To Wyn collided on the second turn, checking Spring To Wyn and Barnes Banana. Spring To Wyn and Very Choosy collided on the third turn, checking Spring To Wyn. Very Choosy and Barnes Banana collided on the fourth turn, checking Very Choosy. Sergei checked off the heels of Barnes Banana approaching the home turn.
