Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Kreuzenstein.
Kreuzenstein was slow to begin.
All Inn Houston galloped on Pattaya Paul on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Pattaya Paul, Gunai Chief and All Inn Houston collided on the home turn checking all three greyhounds. Pattaya Paul and Gunai Chief collided in the home straight checking both greyhounds.
Pattaya Paul was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left hind spike wound, no stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to the Mr. P. Crawley, trainer of Southwood Trump regarding the greyhound performing above market expectations. Mr. Crawley stated that Southwood Trump was aided by an inside draw and a clear passage throughout the event. Mr. Crawley added that Southwood Trump was better suited to the 485m distance. Stewards noted his explanation and ordered a sample be taken from the greyhound.
