Pattaya Paul was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left hind spike wound, no stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to the Mr. P. Crawley, trainer of Southwood Trump regarding the greyhound performing above market expectations.  Mr. Crawley stated that Southwood Trump was aided by an inside draw and a clear passage throughout the event.  Mr. Crawley added that Southwood Trump was better suited to the 485m distance.  Stewards noted his explanation and ordered a sample be taken from the greyhound.

Solar Mocha was slow to begin.  Abed Bale went up with the lids and was slow to begin.

Xavier's Mate and Moltisanti collided approaching the first turn.  Parisian Magic, Moltisanti and All Inn Layla collided on the first turn checking Moltisanti and All Inn Layla.  Moltisanti checked off Abed Bale approaching the home turn and pulled up.  Solar Mocha and Abed Bale collided in the home straight. 

Moltisanti was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a fractured right hock injury, a 90 day stand down period was imposed.

Blackpool Donny and Opalia Bale were slow to begin.

Abergavenny, Zebo Bale, Lani Bale and Opalia Bale collided on the first turn checking Lani Bale and Opalia Bale.  Abergavenny and Jazzy Bale collided approaching the home turn checking Jazzy Bale.

Dark Vader, Cloona Express and Chardy collided on the first turn checking Dark Vader and Chardy.  Reignlee and Harsh Miles collided entering the home straight.

Chardy was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound to the left hindleg, a 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Chelsea Drogba and James Beat Fed collided soon after the start checking James Beat Fed.  Lion Rebel and James Beat Fed collided on the first turn checking James Beat Fed.  James Beat Fed checked off Brazen Blue approaching the home turn.  Brazen Blue checked off Kirabillii Dawson on the home turn.

MEETING COMMENTS:

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Ms. C. Fisher, the trainer of Witch Kilty regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Witch Kilty last raced on 11th November, 2016.  Ms. Fisher stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following an extended spell. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Witch Kilty trialled over the 410m from box 1, weight 27.3kgs, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 23.79, the greyhound won by a margin of 9.5 lengths. Witch Kilty was Cleared.
