Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Marvelette.
Not Enough Cash was slow to begin.
Snap Loch and Destini Lima collided approaching the first turn, checking Canadash. Kid Ringo eased approaching the home turn . Marvelette, Kid Ringo, Destini Lima and Canadash collided approaching the home turn, checking Leon's Wish and Marveltte. Snap Loch and Kid Ringo collided entering the home straight.
Stewards spoke to Mr Donald Jarvis, the trainer of the greyhound Kid Ringo, regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the home turn. Kid Ringo was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right long head triceps (monkey) muscle; a ten-day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Kid Ringo with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Jarvis pleaded guilty to the charge, Kid Ringo was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
A sample was taken from Canadash, the winner of the event.
