Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr William Elson, the trainer of Blonde Yappa, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Blonde Yappa last raced on 19 July 2017. Mr Elson stated that the greyhound was resuming racing after being seasonal.
Mister Blue and Test Pilot were slow to begin.
Blonde Yappa, Bert's Special and Beejay's Lass collided approaching the first turn, checking Beejay's Lass which faltered and tailed off as a result. Bert's Special, Dry Argument and Test Pilot collided approaching the home turn, checking Bert's Special and Dry Argument. Mister Blue checked off Test Pilot approaching the home turn.
Beejay's Lass was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right iliopsoas (abdominal) muscle. A ten-day stand down period was imposed.
