Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Perrie Lulu.
Cloverlay and Tarika Tara collided soon after the start. Parcero Hope galloped on Perrie Lulu on the first turn. Setelia crossed out on the first turn and marred Cloverlay severely checking Cloverlay, Perrie Lulu and Parcero Hope. Keno Jake faltered approaching the home turn and subsequently pulled up. Setelia marred Keno Jake approaching the home turn, Setelia subsequently tailed off. Tynan eased on the home turn.
Keno Jake was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left monkey muscle, a 60 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. B. Albert the trainer of the greyhound Tynan regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the home turn. Tynan was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right elbow, a 14 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1) Stewards charged Tynan with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment by reason of injury. Mr. Albert pleaded guilty to the charge, Tynan was found guilty and Stewards directed that the greyhound perform a satisfactory trial all tracks pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
Setelia was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left chest muscle, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mrs. K. Gorman the trainer of the greyhound Setelia regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the first turn and approaching the home turn. Acting under GAR 69(1) Stewards charged Setelia with marring. Mrs. Gorman pleaded guilty to the charge, Setelia was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warragul and it was directed that the greyhound perform a satisfactory trial all tracks pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
