This meeting was declared a hot weather affected meeting. The kennel temperature at the close of kennelling was 18.7 degrees and the outside temperature was 31.7 degrees.
Rythym Taboo was quick to begin and crossed to the rail soon after the start, checking Real Obsession and Sammy Allen. Greysynd Sofi and Blazing Major collided approaching the first turn. Destini Galaxy, Blazing Major and Dyna Alley collided on the first turn. Sammy Allen and Greysynd Sofi collided approaching the home turn. Real Obsession checked off Dyna Alley approaching the home turn. Sammy Allen brushed the running rail approaching the home turn. Dyna Alistair and Rythym Taboo collided entering the home straight and again several times approaching the winning post. Dyna Alley raced wide in the home straight.
Rythym Taboo was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards issued a warning to Mr. M Chilcott, the trainer of Rythym Taboo regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight.
