Cades County checked off Dyna Xara approaching the first turn. Be Like Bill and Kiss Me Putu collided approaching the first turn, checking Kiss Me Putu, Dyna Bentley and Yogi Mikado. Graphite County checked off Kiss Me Putu approaching the home turn. Dyna Xara raced wide on the home turn.

Mr S.Collins, trainer of Zipping Danii declared a new weight of 28.8kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Zipping Danii last raced at 27.3kg.

Wind Witch and Property Power were quick to begin. Big Tilly was slow to begin. Wind Witch and Dazzling Melody collided approaching the first turn, checking Elle Gazelle. Wind Witch, Dazzling Melody and Boomer Blitz collided on the first turn, checking Zipping Danii, Boomer Blitz and Dazzling Melody. Dazzling Melody checked off Boomer Blitz approaching the home turn, and collided with Big Tilly. Boomer Blitz and Wind Witch collided approaching the home turn, Emerald Rainbow raced wide entering the home straight. Wind Witch checked off Dazzling Melody in the home straight.

A pre race sample was taken from Like A Rocket.

Barcali was slow to begin. Zipping Zoe, Dyna Forrest and Mia Brae collided  soon after the start, checking all three greyhounds. Mia Brae checked off Dyna Forrest approaching the first turn. Huge Allen and Wise Ricciardo collided on the first turn. Wise Ricciardo galloped on the heels of Huge Allen approaching the home turn, checking both greyhounds. Ronray Legend and Huge Allen collided approaching the home turn, checking Huge Allen and Like A Rocket. Barcali checked off Dyna Forrest approaching the home turn. Huge Allen and Like A Rocket collided on the home turn. Zipping Zoe failed to pursue the lure with due commitment in the home straight.

Zipping Zoe was vetted following the event, and revetted following race 7. It was reported that there was no apparent injury.  

Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Collins, the representative of the greyhound Zipping Zoe regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Zipping Zoe with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Collins pleaded guilty to the charge, Zipping Zoe was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Geelong and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

A pre-race sample was taken from Harlem Shake upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.

Liam was quick to begin. White Bandit, Fawn Pursuit and Harlem Shake collided soon after the start, checking Fawn Pursuit and Harlem Shake. Magic Buddie and Liam collided soon after the start, checking Magic Buddie. Fawn Pursuit and Magic Buddie collided on the first turn, checking Magic Buddie. Harlem Shake checked off White Bandit in the home straight. To The Galo's and Liam collided approaching the winning post. 

A pre-race sample was unable to be obtained from Liam, a post race sample was subsequently taken.

Cette To Dance was a late scratching at 5.55pm due to the greyhound being on season (GAR 24). A 28 day stand down period was imposed

Rattle Gate and Gothamburg were slow to begin. Media Street, Oakstar and Mister Blue collided soon after the start, checking Mister Blue and Oakstar. One Step Ahead was slow to begin. Lainey's Fortune, Don's Machine, Petra Allen and Dark Portal collided soon after the start, checking Don's Machine, Petra Allen and Dark Portal. Manzeene Man, Lainey's Fortune and Jack's Rainbow collided approaching the first turn. Lainey's Fortune checked off Jack's Rainbow on the first turn, checking Dark Portal. Don's Machine and Jack's Rainbow collided approaching the home turn, and again on the home turn. One Step Ahead and French Defence collided on the home turn. Don's Machine and Dark Portal collided several times in the home straight. Lainey's Fortune raced wide in the home straight.

Don's Machine was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Geopark Ruby was a late scratching at 6.04pm  on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to a right dew claw injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Blusain Bolt and Apache Bro collided several times soon after the start. Blusain Bolt checked off Apache Bro soon after the start, checking Crackerjack Jim. Prince Mikado, Counting Pennies and Bud Husky collided on the first turn, checking Counting Pennies and Bud Husky. Counting Pennies and Bud Husky collided approaching the home turn, checking Bud Husky and Crackerjack Jim.

Tiggerlong Nosey and Flat Twin collided soon after the start. Miss Innings, Blackpool Chuck, Fernando Express, Tiggerlong Nosey and Flat Twin collided soon after the start, checking Fernando Express, Tiggerlong Nosey and Flat Twin. Miss Innings galloped on the heels of Lochinvar Dash approaching the first turn, checking both greyhounds. Slingshot Storm and You Rippa Pippa were quick to begin. Storm Train and Crackerjack Tim were slow to begin. Parvati Grange and Barwell Boy collided approaching the first turn, checking Parvati Grange. You Rippa Pippa and Barwell Boy collided on the first turn. Mask and Parvati Grange collided on the first turn. Storm Train and Parvati Grange collided approaching the home turn, checking Parvati Grange and Crackerjack Tim, which raced wide as a result. 

Stewards noted that the muzzle of Parvati Grange became partially dislodged during the running of the event.

Pomp Fiction and Showtime Mystery were quick to begin. Lektra Blicavs and We Wish collided soon after the start. Kouta Excuses checked off Pippy Dippy approaching the first turn, checking Tiggerlong Boo. Pomp Fiction, Showtime Mystery and Lektra Blicavs collided on the first turn, checking Kouta Excuses. Lektra Blicavs cramped in the home straight and lost ground as a result.

Lektra Blicavs was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained cramp, a 5 day stand down period was imposed. 

Stewards spoke to Ms M.Shaw  the representative of the greyhound  Lektra Blicavs.  Acting in accordance with GAR 71 (Cramp), Stewards directed that  Lektra Blicavs must perform a Satisfactory Trial before any future nomination will be accepted.

Tiggerlong Rock was quick to begin. Ronray Destiny and Fiery Melody collided soon after the start, checking Ronray Destiny. Lochinvar Adore and Invasion collided on the first turn, checking Invasion. July Allen and Tiggerlong Rock collided on the home turn. Leo's Gift raced wide entering the home straight.
