An Out of Competition Sample was taken from Aston Abbott engaged in this event on 4 December 2017 pursuant to GAR 79A.
Stewards spoke to Mr P Grice, the trainer of Cairnlea Rosie regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Cairnlea Rosie last raced on 7 June, 2017 and is returning to racing following a change of kennel.
Love To Dream and Italian Plastic were slow to begin.
Fred Dagg, Love To Dream and Cairnlea Rosie collided soon after the start; Love To Dream subsequently stumbled and lost ground. Fred Dagg, Cairnlea Rosie and Aston Abbott collided approaching the first turn. Italian Plastic crossed to the rails on the first turn, checking Fred Dagg, Aston Abbott, Cairnela Rosie and Hello Bomber. Love To Dream and Hello Bomber collided on the first turn. Fred Dagg and Cairnlea Rosie collided in the home straight.
