A pre-race sample was taken from Blue Sky Riot.
Seminole Wind and Elle Gazelle were slow to begin. Elle Gazelle checked off Hedwig soon after the start. Blue Sky Riot, Tahleia Brae and Come On Emmaline collided approaching the first turn, checking Come On Emmaline which collided with Hoo Gur Affair. Elle Gazelle, Come On Emmaline and Hoo Gur Affair collided on the second turn, checking Come On Emmaline, Hoo Gur Affair and Hedwig. Hoo Gur Affair, Come On Emmaline and Hedwig collided approaching the third turn, checking Hedwig. Hedwig and Come On Emmaline collided approaching the home turn and again several times entering the home straight.
A sample was taken from Tahleia Brae - placed 2nd in the event.
