Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr Daryl Brennan, the trainer of Florida Que, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Florida Que las raced at Warrnambool on 29 June, 2017. Mr Brennan stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a left stopper injury.
Ace Ventura was slow to begin.
Florida Que and Wicked Tuna collided soon after the start, checking both greyhounds. Florida Que crossed to the outside at the 250m mark and race wide for the remainder of the event. Captain Marvel and Weiss Allen collided at the 200m mark. Ace Ventura and Guns Ablazing collided at the 200m mark. Captain Marvel and Weiss Allen collided at the 150m mark.
Florida Que was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a carpal sprain of the right wrist. A seven-day stand down period was imposed.
