Stewards spoke to B. Pursell, the representative of Slingshot Storm, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Slingshot Storm last raced on 20/7/17. Mr. Pursell stated that the greyhound had injured both monkey muscles.
Slingshot Storm was quick to begin. Cades County and Dyna Hendry were slow to begin.
Ima Rig galloped on Dyna Lenae soon after the start, checking Dyna Lenae and severely checking Ima Rig. Speedway Chick checked off Ben Roman on the first turn and collided with Dyna Lenae who was checked as a result. Speedway Chick and Dyna Lenae collided approaching the home turn, checking Speedway Chick. Ima Rig and Speedway Chick collided approaching the home turn. Ima Rig crossed out and raced wide on the home turn and again in the home straight. Ima Rig and Speedway Chick tired in the home straight.
Ima Rig was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
