Xava Allen was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right hamstring muscle and a five-day stand down period was imposed. The Stewards spoke to Mr J Loverso, representing Trainer Mrs A Dailly, regarding the racing manners of Xava Allen on the home turn and in the home straight. Mr Loverso advised that Xana Allen has a tendency to drift off the track in the latter stages of her races. The explanation was noted.
