Toffee Lady, Shrek's Tales and Black Shirley were slow to begin.  Shrek's Tales and Black Shirley collided soon after the start checking Shrek's Tales.  Riverbank Lark, Dr. Sparkles and Scarlet Magic collided on the first turn checking Riverbank Lark, Toffee Lady and Black Shirley.  Riverbank Lark, Toffee Lady and Black Shirley collided in the back straight checking Toffee Lady and Black Shirley.  Toffee Lady brushed the running rail in the back straight.  Shrek's Tales galloped on Riverbank Lark on the second turn checking both greyhounds.  Mister Walker raced wide approaching the home turn.  Riverbank Lark was checked off Toffee Lady on the home turn checking Shrek's Tales.  Mister Walker raced wide entering the home straight.

Riverbank Lark was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a dislocated toe on the left hind foot and a split webbing on the left hind foot, a 60 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Ms. L. Randall the trainer of Overruled regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Overruled last raced on 13/06/17.  Ms. Randall stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following relocation from interstate.  Ms. Randall declared a new weight of 31.3kg for the greyhound in accordance wtih GAR 39(2).  Overruled last raced at 29.9kg.

Woodleigh Bond was slow to begin.  Long Live Sid, Tilley's Pie and Amaroo Minx collided approaching the first turn checking all three greyhounds.  Amaroo Minx was checked off Long Live Sid approaching the first turn.  Overruled and Sheza Dragon collided several times from the first turn to approaching the home turn checking Overruled and Tilley's Pie and severely checking Sheza Dragon and Long Live Sid, Amaroo Minx raced wide as a result.  Tilley's Pie and Sheza Dragon collided entering the home straight and again in the home straight.

Sheza Dragon was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound to the left hind toe, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards issued a warning to Mrs. A. Ashworth the representative of Sheza Dragon regarding the greyhound's box manners.

A sample was taken from Extra Kisses - winner of the event.

Stewards spoke to Mr. A Ferguson the trainer of Undercover Viv regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Undercover Viv last raced on 16/06/17.  Mr. Ferguson stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a seasonal spell.  Mr. Ferguson declared a new weight of 29.5kg for the greyhound in accordance wtih GAR 39(2).  Undercover Viv last raced at 28.4kg.

Undercover Viv, Apila Cash and Jaggered Nikki were slow to begin.  Blue Addiction, Chain Smoker and Dr. Shreds collided on the first turn checking Chain Smoker and Dr. Shreds.  Dr. Zeeva and Tiger Girl collided on the first turn checking Dr. Zeeva, Undercover Viv and Jaggered Nikki.  Apila Cash and Jaggered Nikki collided on the second turn.

Don One and Poppy's Way were quick to begin.  Where's Lachie was slow to begin.  Conjurer was checked off Lottie Glenda soon after the start.  Conjurer, Zoenah's Legacy and Poppy's Way collided approaching the first turn checking Conjurer and Zoenah's Legacy.  Zoenah's Legacy and Poppy's Way collided approaching the first turn checking Zoenah's Legacy.  Zoenah's Legacy and Poppy's Way collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds, Where's Lachie raced wide as a result.  Don One and Spotted Label collided approaching the second turn checking Spotted Label.  Where's Lachie was checked off Conjurer in the back straight.  Poppy's Way was checked off Zoenah's Legacy on the third turn.  Poppy's Way eased in the home straight. Poppy's Way marred Zoenah's Legacy approaching the winning post.

Poppy's Way was vetted following the event and after being re-vetted following event 11, it was reported that there was no injury apparent.

Stewards spoke to Mr. W. Majoor the trainer of the greyhound Poppy's Way regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) Stewards charged Poppy's Way with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.  Mr. Majoor pleaded guilty to the charge, Poppy's Way was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Traralgon and it was directed that the greyhound perform a satisfactory trial all tracks pusuant to GAR 69(A) (2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Sidevalve and Jetmag Storm were slow to begin.  Jetmag Storm, Right Off Spot, Any Other Union and Busta Voe collided approaching the first turn checking Any Other Union and Busta Voe.  Machiko and Sidevalve collided on the home turn.  Jetmag Storm and Right Off Spot raced wide on the home turn.

The start of this event was delayed by approximately 90 seconds due to a Queeabeyan race running late.

La Petite was quick to begin.  Mizuki and Doobstar were slow to begin.  Dr. Luvdisc crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Mizuki, Night Prancer, No Guarantees, Doobstar and About To Cry.  Mizuki and Doobstar collided on the second turn.  Doobstar raced wide on the home turn.

Oakmont Octum, Resplando and Miss Taryn were slow to begin.  Zulu Zoe and Miss Taryn collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds.  Sacred Diamond and Resplando collided on the first turn checking Sacred Diamond, Resplando, Premier Ching, Zulu Zoe and Miss Taryn causing Premier ching and Miss Taryn to race wide.  Oakmont Octum and Premier Ching raced wide in the home straight.

Dr. Flannigan and Dr. Toretto were slow to begin.  Beyond Manapa and Sir Fancy collided soon after the start checking Beyond Manapa.  Le Doyen and Vindication collided on the first turn.  Dr. Flannigan and Pristina Lad collided in the back straight checking both greyhounds.  Dr. Flannigan and Beyond Manapa collided on the second turn.  Dr. Toretto and Vindication collided entering the home straight checking Vindication.  Sir Fancy tired over the concluding stages of the event.

Stewards spoke to the trainer of Sir Fancy Mr. J. Petersen who was pleased with the greyhound's performance as he had not raced for two months.  Stewards accepted Mr. Petersen's explanation and took no further action.

Johnny Wolf was slow to begin.  Mandela Sun, Parisian Magic and Stately Kay collided approaching the first turn checking Mandela Sun.  Galaxy Sprite and Oz Ten Tatious collided on the first turn checking Galaxy Sprite.  Oz Ten Tatious and Parisian Magic collided approaching the home turn checking Parisian Magic and Stately Kay both greyhounds raced wide.  Galaxy Sprite was checked off Mandela Sun on the home turn checking Stately Kay.  Mandela Sun and Parisian Magic collided on the home turn.  Galaxy Sprite raced wide in the home straight.

Stewards spoke to Ms. L. Randall the trainer of Jacobite Phantom regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Jacobite Phantom last raced on 09/05/17.  Ms. Randall stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a spell.  Pursuant to GAR 77A Jacobite Phantom trialled over 315 metres from box 3, weight 26.9kg, the greyhound was placed fourth, in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 18.62 secs, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 15 lengths.  Jacobite Phantom was not cleared

Stewards spoke to Ms. L. Randall the trainer of Pearson Pride regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Pearson Pride last raced on 09/05/17.  Ms. Randall stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a spell.  Pursuant to GAR 77A Pearson Pride trialled over 315 metres from box 5, weight 32.3kg, the greyhound was placed second, in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 18.62 secs, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 5.5 lengths.  Pearson Pride was cleared.
