Steward's Report
This meeting was declared hot weather affected. At the close of kennelling the outside temperature was 27 degrees and the kennel temperature was 19 degrees.
Drysdale Creek was slow to begin. Flying Action was quick to begin. Dyna Bentley, Lilly An' Page, Nimble Foot and Kalani Tim collided on the first turn, checking Lilly An' Page. Lilly An' Page checked off Heya Joey approaching the home turn. Spirit Bar and Flying Action collided on the home turn and several times in the home straight.
A sample was taken from Spirit Bar - the winner of the event.
Spirit Bar was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a torn nail to the left hind foot, a 3 day stand down period was imposed.
