Steward's Report
This meeting was declared hot weather effected. At close of kennelling, the outside temperature was 32.8 degrees, and the kennel temperature was 18.8 degrees.
Due to a vehicle breakdown, there was no lateral video footage available for races 1-3.
Avatar Maximus and Emerald Rainbow collided soon after the start and repeatedly approaching the first turn. Nitro Value and Rocky Victorem collided approaching the first turn. Capaldi marred Emerald Rainbow approaching the winning post.
Capaldi was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an abdominal muscle injury, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr J. Shaw, the representative of the greyhound Capaldi regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Capaldi with marring. Mr Shaw pleaded guilty to the charge, Capaldi was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Horsham and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
