Zipping Hawk and Petadale were quick to begin. Mystery Ride was slow to begin. Petadale and Black Spyro collided soon after the start. Dyna Gavin and Vancouver Star collided soon after the start. Dyna Gavin, Vancouver Star and Petadale collided several times approaching the first turn. Zipping Hawk and Black Spyro collided several times on the first turn. Dyna Gavin galloped on the heels of Vancouver Star on the first turn; Vancouver Star stumbled and lost ground as a result. Petadale checked off One Plus Two on the first turn.
