A pre-race sample was taken from Riverdale Tarzan.
Riverdale Tarzan and Son Of Steve went up with the lids at box rise and were slow to begin.
Mega Secret checked off Queen Dunroaming on the first turn, Mega Secret collided with Any Other Union as a result. Vanilla Kiss and Any Other Union collided on the first turn, Vanilla Kiss faltered and tailed off. Vanilla Kiss and Riverdale Tarzan collided entering the home straight.
Any Other Union was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right hock injury, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.
