Steward's Report
Mella Moo was slow to begin. Mella Moo and Spin The Trolley collided soon after the start. Spin The Trolley and Sartori collided approaching the first turn checking Spin The Trolley. Sartori eased approaching the first turn and collided with Gambler's Loot; Mella Moo, Spin The Trolley and Gambler's Loot were severely checked as a result. Urban Shiraz crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Flash Bobbie which contacted the running rail. Flash Bobbie and Urban Shiraz collided approaching the home turn.
Sartori was vetted and after being re vetted following event 4, it was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards spoke to Mr. D. Rhodes, the trainer of the greyhound Sartori regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the first turn. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Sartori with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Rhodes pleaded guilty to the charge. Sartori was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Sale and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
