Sidevalve was very slow to begin (4 lengths). Blue Blitz and Kilty's Tiger collided soon after the start, checking Kilty's Tiger. Dangerwood and Taarie Bale collided on the first turn, checking Taarie Bale. Crooked Vulture checked off Dangerwood approaching the home turn. Sidevalve checked off Kilty's Tiger approaching the home turn. Dangerwood and Blue Blitz collided in the home straight. Sidevalve galloped on the heels of Taarie Bale on the home turn, severely checking both greyhounds, Taarie Bale tailed off as a result.
