Stewards spoke to Mr. M. Briganti, the handler of Shankee regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Shankee last raced on 5 May 2017. Mr. Briganti stated that the greyhound was resuming to racing following an injury to the left metacarpal. Mr. M. Briganti, declared a new weight of 31.6 kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Shankee last raced at 30.1kgs.
