Stewards spoke to G. Dalton, the representative of Queen Coriander regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Queen Coriander last raced on 11 May 2017 and is returning after a seasonal spell. Mr. Dalton also declared a new weight of 25.7 for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Queen Coriander last raced at 27.0.
A pre race sample was taken from Bobby's Baby.
Miss Houdini crossed to the rail soon after the start, checking Megadrive and Oliver Cruise. Bobby's Baby checked off Bulk Cairns soon after the start. Bulk Cairns and Boca Grande collided at the 300m mark, checking Bulk Cairns. Bobby's Baby and Clavash collided at the 300m mark causing both greyhounds to race wide. Oliver Cruise and Miss Houdini collided at the 250m mark. Boca Grande crossed to the outside approaching the 200m mark, checking Miss Houdini. Clavash and Megadrive collided at the 150m mark. Bobby's Baby and Clavash collided at the 50m mark.
