Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Dalhaus upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.
Stewards spoke to Mr B. Wellington, the trainer of Glacier Boy, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Glacier Boy last raced on 20 May 2017. Mr Wellington stated that the greyhound had changed kennels.
Dahlhaus, About Time and Glacier Boy were slow to begin.
Lektra Guiseppe and Dark Hombre collided soon after the start, checking Lektra Guiseppe. Lektra Guiseppe and Garku Bale collided on the first turn, checking Garku Bale. Dahlhaus, Glacier Boy and Miss Zok Dee collided on the first turn, checking Glacier Boy, Miss Zok Dee and Garku Bale. Lektra Guiseppe raced wide on the second turn. Dark Hombre tired over the concluding stages of the event.
Glacier Boy was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained no apparent injury. No stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr B. Wellington, the trainer of the greyhound Glacier Boy. Stewards deemed the performance of Glacier Boy unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, directed that Glacier Boy must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.
