Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Lion Rebel.
No Road was slow to begin. Early Spring and Wild Angel collided soon after the start. So Fine was checked off Aston Sloan approaching the first turn checking Aston Philou. Aston Philou and Mega Secret collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Aston Philou, Mega Secret and No Road collided approaching the home turn checking Mega Secret and No Road. So Fine and Wild Angel collided approaching the home turn. Aston Sloan lost ground from the home turn to the winning post.
Aston Sloan was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no injury apparent. Trainer Mr. E. Lieshout declined his option to have the greyhound re-vetted.
Stewards spoke to Mr. E. Lieshout the trainer of the greyhound Aston Sloan. Stewards deemed the performance of Aston Sloan unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance wtih GAR 71 Stewards directed that Aston Sloan must perform a satisfactory trial all tracks before any future nomination will be accepted.
