Steward's Report

Stewards spoke to Mr J. Collins, the representative of Dimitri Bale regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Dimitri Bale last raced on the 11th of March, 2017. Mr Collins stated that Dimitri Bale is returning to racing from a right back muscle injury.

Stewards spoke to Mr S. Molloy, the trainer of Mia Shan regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Mia Shan last raced on the 16th of March, 2017. Mr Molloy stated that Mia Shan is returning to racing from a right back muscle injury.

Major Think and Jockey Bale collided soon after the start checking Major Think.  Cavalry Rose and Fashion Fix collided soon after the start checking Fashion Fix.  Dimitri Bale and Mia Shan collided approaching the first turn.  Hit Me Up checked off Mia Shan on the first turn and collided with Cavalry Rose, resulting in Fashion Fix been checked .  Major Think checked off Cavalry Rose on the first turn and fell.  Hit Me Up checked off Cavalry Rose approaching the home turn.  Hit Me Up and Cavalry Rose collided on the home turn.

Major Think was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right pencil and left foreleg split webbing injuries, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.
