Mahjong Heat was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a toe collateral ligament rupture on the left foreleg, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr J. Collins, the representative of Dimitri Bale regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Dimitri Bale last raced on the 11th of March, 2017. Mr Collins stated that Dimitri Bale is returning to racing from a right back muscle injury.
