A pre-race sample was taken from Da Bont.
Danger Bale, Olympic Lass, Just Run Left and Destini Seahorse collided soon after the start, checking Destini Seahorse. Valdar Bale and Da Bont collided soon after the start. Olympic Lass and Cruisy's Lil collided several times in the back straight. Valdar Bale faltered approaching the first turn. Destini Seahorse checked off the heels of Cruisy's Lil on the home turn.
Valdar Bale was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right tensor fascia (triangle) muscle. A 21-day stand down period was imposed.
