Stewards spoke to Mr.D.Boots, the trainer of Later Skaters, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Later Skaters last raced on 20th of February 2017. Mr Boots stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after being on season.

Sprightly Fella was quick to begin.  Better Way and Shazza's Gift collided soon after the start.  Later Skaters checked off Sprightly Fella approaching the first turn checking Shazza's Gift.  Alyssa Rose and Farah collided approaching the first turn.  Better Way checked off Shazza's Gift on the first turn.  Later Skaters and Alyssa Rose collided approaching the home turn.  Shazza's Gift checked off Alyssa Rose approaching the home turn checking Better Way.  Chew Boy and Farah collided on the home turn.  Later Skaters and Alyssa Rose collided entering the back straight.

Chew Boy was vetted following the event and was revetted following Race 7.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left monkey muscle, left groin and both fibulas, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

A sample was taken from Sprightly Fella, the winner of the event.

Mr. G. Harding, trainer of Eddie's Delight declared a new weight of 33.1kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Eddie's Delight last raced at 34.3kg.

A pre-race sample was taken from Frosty Tiara.

Latifi Zeina, Cullquin Jethro and Eddie's Delight were slow to begin.  Alex The Seal and Frosty Tiara collided approaching the first turn.  Ultimate Return and Jake Delight collided on the first turn, severely checking Ultimate Return which lost ground and checked Alex The Seal as a result.  Molly's Money and Frosty Tiara collided on the first turn.  Molly's Money checked off Latifi Zeina in the home straight.  Ultimate Return and Frosty Tiara collided in the home straight.

A sample was taken from Jake Delight, the winner of the event.

A pre-race sample was taken from Cassius Spirit.

Storm Of All and Tiger Cabang collided soon after the start.  Flowering Rose, Khimki, Tiny Octane, Tiger Cabang, Cassius Spirit and Beluga collided approaching the first turn, severely checking Khimki, Tiger Cabang, Cassius Spirit and Beluga, causing Tiger Cabang to fall and Beluga to lose ground as a result.  Tiny Octane checked off Bad Baloney approaching the home turn checking Khimki.  Khimki raced wide on the home turn.

Tiger Cabang was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right stifle, right groin and right fibula, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

A sample was taken from Storm Of All, the winner of the event.

Mr.N.Tait, trainer of Highfield Bones declared a new weight of 33.0kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Highfield Bones last raced at 31.6kg.

May's Melody was slow to begin.  Highfield Bones and May's Melody collided soon after the start.  Winlock Hadley and Twilight Liason collided approaching the first turn checking Winlock Hadley.  Highfield Bones checked off Mrs. Fozz entering the home straight.  May's Melody checked off Alannah's Gem in the home straight.

Beksun was slow to begin.  Winston Cruise, Lireva and Scott Pizzazz collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn checking Scott Pizzazz.  Lodge's Express and Chillby collided approaching the first turn checking Lodge's Express.  Beksun and Scott Pizzazz collided approaching the home turn.  Winston Cruise and Lireva collided approaching the home turn.  Chillby checked off Lireva on the home turn.  Lodge's Express and Chillby collided in the home straight.

The split times for this event had to be hand timed after the timing mechanism failed to activate. The split times semaphored by the Judges were 6:77 and 11:65.

Bagpipes Billy was quick to begin.  Emi's Boy Macca and Cass' Cass collided soon after the start.  Emi's Boy Macca checked off Cass' Cass approaching the first turn.

Beer On Tap was a late scratching at 6.27pm Stewards permission due to mechanical breakdown. No stand down period was imposed.

Pursuant to GAR 104(6) Kennel Attendant, Mr G. Glass did not act in any official capacity for this event.

Cruising Suzie was quick to begin.  Gunai Chief, Miss Flower and Swift Fozz collided soon after the start checking Gunai Chief and Miss Flower.  Good Boy Oscar and Cruising Suzie collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn.  Good Boy Oscar and Rooey collided on the home turn.  Gunai Chief and Swift Fozz collided on the home turn.  Miss Flower raced wide on the home turn and again in the home straight.  Gunai Chief raced wide in the home straight.

A sample was taken from Tat Odin, the winner of the event.

Elusive Linda was quick to begin.  Tat Minnie, Morta Bella and Hotlips Matilda collided soon after the start checking Tat Minnie and Morta Bella.  Jimmy Got Style and Cosmic Wish collided on the first turn.  Hunchback, Kraken Tilda and Hotlips Matilda collided on the first turn checking Kraken Tilda.

Red Lagoon was quick to begin.  All Inn Hunter checked off All Inn Houston approaching the first turn.  All Inn Houston checked off Bald Wal on the first turn.  Bald Wal and Kraken Zuri collided on the first turn.  Bald Wal checked off Leaf Spring entering the home straight.  All Inn Hunter checked off Who's Irod in the home straight.

Roman Blue Jay was quick to begin. Good Humour was slow to begin.  Cullquin Alexis, Kraken Betty and Silver Banjo collided approaching the first turn checking Kraken Betty.  Roman Blue Jay and Cullquin Alexis collided on the first turn.  William Cabang, All Inn Summer, Dream Wave and Kraken Betty collided on the first turn checking All Inn Summer and Kraken Betty, severely checking Dream Wave.  Good Humour, Roman Blue Jay and Cullquin Alexis collided entering the home straight causing Cullquin Alexis to race wide as a result.  Good Humour and Roman Blue Jay collided in the home straight.

Dream Wave was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Zuletta was a late scratching at 3.54pm due to illness (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.

Jesterday was a late scratching at 6.19pm on the advice of the Club's Veterinary Surgeon due to illness.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
